Streaky Bay is famous for a fishing story involving a 1500Kg
shark caught by rod & reel on a 24Kg fishing line in 1990, check out the photo's.
Port Lincoln is the home of the great racehorse Makybe Diva
the only horse to win the Melbourne Cup 3 times in a row
and he is honoured within the township by a monument at the
foreshore.
40Km from Port Lincoln at a little fishing port called Coffin
Bay is where some of the famous South Australian Oysters are
farmed and harvested. Mike & BB watched as the catch was hauled
from water to the sorting sheds and then straight to Mike's
dinner table. Is that fresh or what? and the price you wouldn't
believe.
